Description

Introduction to physical inorganic chemistry. Topics include group theory, ligand-field theory, and various physical methods for understanding the properties of open-shell metal ions, including vibrational spectroscopies (IR and Raman), electronic absorption spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, and magnetism.
